We spent three nights in Porthcressa before a change in the wind direction saw us move to a mooring in St Mary's Pool.

Porthcressa

We had a lovely few days exploring St Mary's, walking around the fortifications and the coastal walks around the island.

We had been warned that Wally the Walrus was around the area and that we should not leave our inflatable dinghy unattended in the water as he had sunk a few trying to lever himself on board with his tusks. We picked up a mooring in St Mary's only to discover that he was two boats away. We passed behind the boat he was sitting on in our dinghy on the way ashore and he really did seem enormous!

We had a wet Sunday in St Mary's pretty much confined to the boat most of the day. Fortunately the weather picked up after that.
